Dal Pozzo-Rodriguez triumph with Milan in sight: the pair dominate in Croatia
October 12, 2026
POREČ – Italy’s Giulia Dal Pozzo could hardly have asked for a better way to prepare for the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1. Partnering Nuria Rodríguez, she claimed the title at the FIP Silver Poreč-Parenzo, defeating one of the CUPRA FIP Tour’s most in-form pairs, Julieta Bidahorria and Virginia Riera, 6-4, 6-4 in the final. In the semi-finals, the winners had overcome Raquel Piltcher and Christina-Styliani Ntanou. Dal Pozzo and Rodríguez’s outstanding 2026 season continues, having reached the semi-finals of the Rome Major and the Valladolid P2. Dal Pozzo, fresh off her call-up to the national team for the FIP World Cup 2026, had already triumphed in Poreč in 2024 alongside Caterina Baldi. “Victory at the FIP Silver Poreč-Parenzo,” said Dal Pozzo. “It was a great weekend in Croatia, and we are very happy to have achieved this goal. Many thanks for the hospitality and organisation.”
In the men’s draw, Argentine talent Tolito Aguirre shone alongside Pablo Garcia. They secured the title in Croatia with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Rama Valenzuela and Xisco Gil in the final. In the semi-finals, Aguirre and García had defeated Pedro Meléndez and Dani Luna 6-3, 6-4. The victory adds to Aguirre’s list of achievements this season: in March, he reached the semi-finals of the Premier Padel P2 in Cancún. “Champions in Croatia,” said Garcia. “It was a great week in Poreč.”
