The crowd at the Icónico Sports Social Club stayed in the stands until after midnight to enjoy the debut of the number 1 seeds at the FIP Platinum in Sevilla: Paquito Navarro and Lucas Bergamini managed to come back and defeat Denis Perino and Nacho Piotto, who, after winning the first set 6-4, had to concede with a score of 4-6 6-3 6-3. Navarro and Bergamini thus qualified for the quarter-finals and in the last match scheduled for tonight on centre court they will face Sanyo Gutierrez and Franco Dal Bianco, who conceded only two games (6-1 6-1) to Alvaro Cepero and Alex Arroyo, number 7 seeds. Martin Di Nenno also had to stay on court for three sets, but he and Agustin “El Loco” Torre still managed to beat Pincho Fernandez and Pablo Garcia Rodrigo 6-3 5-7 6-4. Momo Gonzalez and Jon Sanz (2) had to battle through two sets to beat Dominguez/Ruiz 7-5 6-4.
