Palma de Mallorca, double for Vicente Soto and Mauro Hoyas

A February to remember for one of the brightest talents of NextGen padel. Vicente Soto — a fifteen-year-old from Concepcion, Chile — secured two victories at the FIP Promises in Palma de Mallorca together with Spain’s Mauro Hoyas. The pair claimed the Under 18 title with a 6-4 7-5 win over Alvaro Abad and Ricardo Molina, while the Under 16 success came with a 6-3 2-6 7-6 victory in the final against Aleix Baquero and Sebastià Ferrer. For “Vixo” Soto, it is the third success of the month, following his title at the FIP Promises in Perugia. In the Under 14 category, Marco Ajenjo and Sergio Perez celebrated victory, while the Under 12 title went to Quique Sedze and Nicolas Cladera.

 

There were also four girls’ draws, with Celia Alarcon and Maria Mora standing out in the Under 18. Another Alarcon claimed the Under 16 title: Clara, Celia’s sister, won alongside Naira Marti. The Under 14 title went to American Ornella Beltramino and Spain’s Eneritz Sola, while Carla Mazcuñan and Lucia Iniesta celebrated victory in the Under 12.
