April 27, 2026
The winners’ trophy at the FIP Bronze Chile II men’s event, held in Santiago, was lifted by the tournament’s top seeds: Facundo Lopez and Juani De Pascual, both born in 2004. The pair secured the title with a straight-sets victory in the final over Luciano Puppo and Maximo Maldonado (6-4 6-3). On their path to success, the champions had defeated Leonardo Yob–Francisco Maier in the semi-finals (6-7 6-4 6-4) and Dani Salinas Ordenas–Matias Negrete Oliva in the quarter-finals (6-4 6-4). Thanks to the triumph in Chile, Lopez claimed his first title of the year on the CUPRA FIP Tour. For De Pascual, this marks his fourth success of 2026 following victories at the FIP Bronze events in Ijuí, Burriana and Agrigento.
“I am very happy with the result and to have played this FIP tournament – said Lopez after the triumph – When I play in Chile, I feel at home”. De Pascual also commented on the result: “Earning these points for the FIP Ranking is significant. I am very pleased with what we achieved and to have taken to the court with Facundo. For me, he is a great person and deserves all of this”.
