The CUPRA FIP Tour lights up London: the road to the August P1 begins
May 7, 2026
The CUPRA FIP Tour returns for the first time in 2026 to Great Britain with the FIP Bronze of London. This event, together with the FIP Silver scheduled in the English capital at the end of May, precedes the first Premier Padel P1 in London scheduled in less than three months: from 3 to 9 August, in fact, the capital will host the best players in the world, becoming the stage for one of the most anticipated stops of the season.
In the spotlight in this CUPRA FIP Tour stage is the pair Marcos González Blanco-Víctor Mena, who this year have already claimed titles at the FIP Silver events in Wadi (Egypt) and Caltanissetta (Italy). The number 1 seeds in this tournament also came close to victory in the Swedish FIP Bronze in Helsingborg, where they were defeated in the final by Samuel Rivas García and Nico Zurita. The latter will also be in London and will aim to lift the trophy alongside the Spaniard Eneko Arija. However, the main rivals of González Blanco and Mena will be Sergio Tierno and José Giménez, born in 2007. Also in focus is the recent semi-finalist of the Spanish FIP Bronze in Isla de La Palma, Alejandro Calvo, who will compete on the “Rock Lane Chiswick” courts alongside Fran Ramírez. Also aiming for a strong result are the pairs Luis Oliver Artigas-Pablo Pastor and Dani Martínez-Diego Arredondo.
Italy’s Carlotta Casali will aim to win the women’s title alongside Spain’s Ana Domínguez. These two players are the number 1 seeds of the tournament, but to lift the trophy they will have to overcome competitive opponents such as the winner of the FIP Bronze events in Baku and Alexandria (Egypt), María Portillo, who this time will play alongside Carmen Castillón. Also on the entry list are Catarina Santos, this year’s winner of the FIP Bronze in Santa Maria (Brazil), and Stephanie Weterings. In England, attention will also be on three other pairs: Ana Varo-Anna Guryanova, Tia Norton-Helena Wyckaert and Francesca Ligotti-Lorena Alonso de Lera.
