González Blanco-Mena: the champions of London

The FIP Bronze London concluded with victory in the men’s draw for the Spanish pair Marcos González Blanco and Víctor Mena. For them, it was the third title of the year on the CUPRA FIP Tour, having already won the FIP Silver in Wadi (Egypt) and Caltanissetta (Italy). In the final, the champions defeated Luis Oliver Artigas and Pablo Pastor (7-6 6-3), while in the previous match they had overcome Nico Zurita and Eneko Arija in three sets (6-2 4-6 6-3).

 

In the women’s draw, meanwhile, Carlotta Casali and Ana Domínguez were crowned champions thanks to their victory in a hard-fought final against Carmen Castillón and María Portillo (1-6 6-3 6-4). In the semi-finals, the tournament winners had defeated Maria Arteaga and Nerea Gomez: after losing the opening set in a tie-break 6-7, Casali and Domínguez won the second and third sets 7-5 6-1. “Yes! We are champions of the FIP Bronze London – said Casali after the triumph -. I am very happy with the result we achieved together”.

 

This event was the first CUPRA FIP Tour tournament held in Great Britain in 2026. Together with the FIP Silver scheduled in London at the end of May, it serves as a lead-up to the first Premier Padel P1 in London, which will take place in less than three months’ time. From 3 to 9 August, the British capital will host the world’s best players, becoming the stage for one of the most anticipated events of the season.
