United States, Rodrigo Coello takes centre stage in Miami

The CUPRA FIP Tour returns to the United States with the FIP Bronze event in Miami: The main draw starts today and will conclude on Sunday. The main contenders for the title are Rodrigo Coello and Jaume Romera. The former will be looking to bounce back after last week’s defeat in the final of the FIP Bronze in Kolding. Coello has already claimed one title this year, the FIP Silver in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) in April, while Romera Barceló is seeking his first title of the season on the circuit. Another pair targeting the title is the Mexican duo Juan Pablo Castillo and José Pablo Padilla. In Florida there will also be Uruguayan Martín Araújo, who will compete alongside Argentine Kevin Kviatkovski. Also worth noting are Juan Ignacio Balzola-Mauricio Suárez González and Juan Ignacio Franco-Nicholas Agritelley.

Turning to the women’s draw, the field includes the winner of the FIP Bronze events in Santa Maria (Brazil) and Aguascalientes (Mexico), Camila Ramme. The Argentine player will partner Brittany Dubins in Miami. Challenging them for the title will be Julia Giusti Gomes, born in 2009 and part of the NextGen, who will compete alongside Renata Martínez Becerra. Also in the spotlight are the French pair Nada Majdoubi and Julie Razafindranaly. The women’s wild cards are Mirian Cruz Orellana-Liz Cruz and Annica Cooper-Antonella Santeusanio.
