Day2. Winning debut for Guinart and Alonso. The stars take centre stage today

The Premier Padel Andalucia Malaga P1 has marked a significant reshuffle in the women’s draw, with several new partnerships choosing the Palacio de Deportes José María Martín Carpena as the starting point of their collaboration, aiming to establish themselves in the race for titles during the second half of the 2026 season. Marina Guinart and Ale Alonso, one of the new pairings making their debut together in Malaga, opened with a 7-5 6-3 victory over Veronica Virseda – Guinart’s partner until just a few days ago – and Jimena Velasco. Today it will be the turn of Ale Salazar, who, after previously partnering Alonso, begins her new partnership with Aranzazu Osoro, while Victoria Iglesias, formerly Osoro’s partner, is now playing alongside Lorena Rufo. Lucia Sainz, meanwhile, will team up with Sofia Saiz and will face Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen, who arrive in Malaga after lifting the title in Bordeaux.

MEN Today also marks the debut of all the world’s top pairs in the men’s draw. All four top seeds will take to Centre Court, with Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas first in action in the second match of the day against José Solano Marmolejo and Ramiro Pereyra. Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia will close the daytime session against David Gala and Enzo Jensen, while the afternoon session will feature Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan against Denis Perino and Facundo Dominguez, followed by Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger against Dani Santigosa and Marc Sintes.
