Porto, Zamora’s Happiness for First Career CUPRA FIP Tour Victory
July 27, 2026
The tournament that has just concluded in Portugal will remain in Coquito Zamora memories for a long time: the joy in his eyes after match point perfectly captured the emotion of the moment. The Spaniard, playing alongside Ramiro Pereyra, claimed his first career title on the CUPRA FIP Tour by winning the FIP Silver Mimosa Open Porto. In the final, the two champions defeated France’s Dylan Guichard and Belgium’s Clement Geens after a highly competitive match that was decided in the third set (7-5 3-6 7-5). The strength of this partnership was also confirmed by their impressive victory over the tournament’s No.1 seeds Alejandro Arrojo and Jose Jimenez: this was another closely contested battle that was decided only in the final-set tie-break (7-6 4-6 7-6). In the semi-finals, the Porto champions had defeated Octavio Alvarez and Diego Garcia in straight sets (6-4 7-5). “Playing in Porto is truly a pleasure,” said Zamora. “This has been a very difficult tournament. I am happy to have won my first professional title. Now we have to continue improving.”
The women’s title was won by the pair of Daiara Valenzuela and Lea Godallier. After defeating Catherine Rose and Aimee Gibson in the semi-finals with a double 6-2, the two players claimed the title by overcoming Ana Catarina Nogueira and Camila Fassio 6-3 7-5 in the final. This was their third title of the year together, following their victories at the Spanish FIP Silver Alcala De Guadaira in mid-July and the FIP Silver in Narbonne at the end of June.
