São Paulo, Arce looking for FIP Race points. Jimenez-Arroyo and Velasco-Eugenio lead the entry lists

Just days after the conclusion of the tournament in Bucharest, another FIP Gold event will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, with 150 FIP Ranking points on offer, which could prove valuable in the Race to the Finals. A total of 32 men’s pairs will take part, with José Jimenez and Alex Arroyo leading the entry list. On the other side, as the number 2 seeds, are David Gala and Maxi Arce, the player currently closest to breaking into the top 16 who will qualify for the Finals in Barcelona. The Argentine is currently number 20 in the Race and will be looking to earn points and close the gap on Javi Leal, currently number 16 and the last player in the qualifying positions for the event to be held in Barcelona in December. Completing the top three seeds are José Diestro and Juanlu Esbri, followed by Juani De Pascual and Alex Chozas, the latter having won the FIP Gold San Luis with Juani Rubini.

 

WOMEN Sixteen pairs will compete in the women’s tournament, led by Jimena Velasco (number 31 in the FIP Ranking and winner of two FIP Silver titles this year) and Raquel Eugenio (23), who has won one FIP Platinum and four FIP Silver titles in 2026. The number 2 seeds are Lorena Rufo and Jessica Castelló, winners of the FIP Silver London in May and runners-up at the FIP Gold Almaty in April. The number 3 seeds are Anna Ortiz, who reached the round of 16 at the Paris Major as a lucky loser, and Maria Laura Ferreyra. The main draw gets underway on Thursday, with the finals scheduled for Sunday. All matches played on centre court will be streamed live on the FIP YouTube channel.
