From Lobo-Fernandez in the women’s draw to Vilariño-Zamora in the men’s: the leading players in Tunisia

TUNISIA – One week after the latest tournament held in Tunisia, another CUPRA FIP Tour event is already scheduled in the country: FIP Bronze The Mora Tunisia II. The women’s draw is led by the pairing of Marina Lobo and Carla Fernandez. Both have already claimed titles on the circuit this year. Lobo won the FIP Bronze events in Pembroke and Cordenons. For Fernandez, it has been a dream season: after six titles this year, the player arrives in Tunisia aiming to lift another trophy. The main challengers for the title are Barbara Las Heras and Daria Kucheriavaia (2). Also among the leading pairs are Dora Chamli-Maria Laura Ferreyra (3) and Lucia Perez-Elizaveta Kozlova (4).

The No. 1 seeds in the men’s draw are Nacho Vilariño and Coquito Zamora. In September, the two players won the FIP Silver in Guimaraes together. Zamora has also claimed FIP Silver titles in Espoo and Porto in 2026. Vilariño, meanwhile, has already won four CUPRA FIP Tour titles this season. To claim another title, the No. 1 seeds will have to overcome strong opposition, including the pairing of Portuguese player Gustavo Nunes and Spaniard Tonet Sans. Also in the field are Alvaro Melendez-Ali Dawani and Javi Valdes-Miguel Benitez Lara.
