Title to Josemaria-Gonzalez and the ‘Chingalan’: a magical moment for them

Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez are enjoying a truly special moment, as are Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan. The Buenos Aires Premier Padel P1 crowned its champions, with the number 2 seeds winning both the women’s and men’s draws, confirming the trend seen in recent tournaments. Paula and Bea extended their remarkable run by claiming a fifth consecutive title — all against Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay — following their triumphs in Miami, Newgiza, Brussels and Asuncion. For the ‘Chingalan’, meanwhile, it was a fourth straight victory over Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia after the finals in Gijon, Miami and Asuncion.

WOMEN Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez were the first to celebrate, once again defeating the number 1 seeds, Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay, 6-3 7-5 in one hour and 47 minutes. The match started strongly for Paula and Bea, who quickly moved ahead by two breaks; decisive, however, was their late surge in the second set before the tie-break. “I feel really happy”, said Bea. “Everything went well this week thanks to the work the team is doing every day. We stayed focused throughout the final and that was the key. Winning a tournament is so difficult that reaching five in a row is truly incredible”. Never before had a women’s pair achieved such a long winning streak. For Paula, meanwhile, it was her third title in Argentina after Mar del Plata in 2024 and Buenos Aires last year. “I really love Argentina, it’s wonderful to be here and to play in front of this extraordinary crowd”.

MEN Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan dominated the men’s final, winning 6-2 6-1 in one hour and 17 minutes. It was an exceptional performance from the ‘Chingalan’, who have now won five titles in 2026 compared to the two claimed by Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, who have not lifted a trophy since Cancun. “We are enjoying this stage of the season and playing at a very high level”, said Galan. “We improve every day, fighting for every point, and we are happy to have won another tournament. Now we will rest for a few days and then we will be ready for the Rome Major”. “It was the perfect week”, added Chingotto. “We played a great match from start to finish, and winning at home is an extraordinary emotion”.

The Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour leaves South America after setting a new attendance record — 16,920 spectators for the semi-finals at Parque Roca — and will return in the first week of June with the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel at the Foro Italico. Another unmissable week awaits.
