Contreras-Lopez on a roll, seeking back-to-back success in Paraguay

The CUPRA FIP Tour returns to Paraguay for the second time this year, with the FIP Bronze Munich Ultra men’s tournament in Ciudad del Este getting underway on Friday. Leading the seeding will be Argentina’s Santino Contreras and Facundo Lopez (pictured on the left), fresh from their victory at the FIP Silver Camboriú and enjoying a season of significant growth.

Contreras, born in 2010 and one of the youngest players ever to compete in the main draw of a Premier Padel tournament, arrives in Paraguay after also claiming titles at the FIP Bronze Santa Maria and Lanzarote, while Lopez is enjoying an excellent run after breaking into the FIP Ranking top 100 thanks to his recent results, including victories at the FIP Gold Shanghai and FIP Bronze La Nucía.

In the bottom half of the draw, two other Argentine pairs stand out: Juan Pablo Dametto and Felipe Calleja, while in the top half are Joaquin De Astoreca and Leonardo Yob. Paraguayan talent Facundo Dehnike will look to challenge for the title after winning the FIP Bronze Lanzarote alongside Contreras; this time, the 17-year-old from Hohenau will partner Manuel Gayone. Also in the top seeds are Thiago Pinto and Francisco Maier, while the Paraguayan pairs include Sebastian Rodriguez and Pierre Petit, as well as Alejandro Lopez and Fabrizio Bareiro.
