Two argentinians triumph in Norway: Contreras and Calleja on the Oslo throne

OSLO – The 2026 season has been a dream one for 16-year-old Argentine Santino Contreras. After five victories on the CUPRA FIP Tour (four in South America and one in Europe), he has also claimed the FIP Bronze Interpadel Open Oslo title in Denmark, alongside compatriot Felipe Calleja. It is another significant achievement for the Argentine talent, who is establishing himself on the circuit tournament by tournament. In the semi-finals, the two champions defeated the French pair of Jeremy Robert and Yoan Boronad (6-2, 7-6), before securing the title with a convincing victory over Dutch players Willy Slaryd and Thijs Roper (6-2, 6-4).

In the women’s draw, the title went to Portugal’s Clarinha Santos and Spain’s Lucia Perez. After defeating Giorgia Rosi and Giulia Pisano 6-2, 6-0, the champions overcame top seeds Brittany Dubins and Ana Varo in the final, winning in three sets (6-2, 0-6, 7-6). On 1 October, Santos had won the FIP Bronze Almeirim, while her partner has also claimed titles this season at the FIP Silver Dubai, the FIP Bronze Dronten and in Singapore.
