New FIP Promises Ranking: enhanced detail, modern design and professional standards for the NextGen of Padel
April 21, 2026
Following the restyling of the FIP Ranking, the International Padel Federation takes another step forward in the modernisation of its digital tools. The web section dedicated to the FIP Promises Ranking – the tour for young talents from Under 12 to Under 18 – is now available in a fully redesigned format, developed according to the same standards as the professional ranking. The objective is clear: to provide young athletes and federations with a detailed and intuitive platform to accurately monitor the sporting development of the NextGen, a fundamental pillar of the FIP’s strategic vision.
GEOGRAPHICAL AREAS The new design is built on a distinct visual identity, characterised by the colour orange, in line with the dynamic spirit of youth competitions. From an organisational perspective, the main innovation of the FIP Promises Ranking is the division into geographical areas – Africa, Americas, Asia and Europe – enabling clearer navigation. Within each continent, a system of filters has also been introduced by age group (U12, U14, U16, U18) and nationality, making consultation simpler and more targeted.
To facilitate movement between different competitive categories, a ranking type selector has also been introduced: a quick-access tool that allows users to switch instantly from the Promises view to the athlete’s FIP Ranking Master view.
TOURNAMENTS BREAKDOWN Another key innovation concerns the level of detail available. Thanks to the ‘Tournaments Breakdown’, each player’s page provides a comprehensive overview of tournaments played, rounds reached and points earned in each event. In addition to competitive results, profiles also include personal details such as age, date and place of birth, effectively turning the FIP Promises Ranking profile into a sporting identity card for the athlete. A clear distinction is also introduced between tournaments that contribute to the final points total and those that do not (‘Not considered’), ensuring maximum clarity in the ranking calculation.
CHAMPION-LEVEL RANKING With this update, FIP aims to offer young players the same level of detail reserved for athletes competing in the leading professional circuits, the Premier Padel Tour and the CUPRA FIP Tour. Clarity on points allocation and ease of navigation are key tools to support the global development of youth Padel, a central element of the Federation’s mission.
For a full overview of how the FIP Promises Ranking operates and the criteria for points allocation, a dedicated section is available on the International Padel Federation website.
