From Paraguay to Argentina, from Asuncion to Buenos Aires. Following the conclusion of the P2 event won by Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan in the men’s draw and Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez in the women’s draw, the third P1 tournament of the season begins immediately after Riyadh and Miami. Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, who have not won since the Cancun P2, will attempt to return to the top as they did in 2025; in the women’s draw, last year’s champions were Ari Sanchez and Paula Josemaria, who this season are playing respectively with Andrea Ustero and Bea Gonzalez. The partnership of Paulita and Bea will aim for a fifth consecutive title in Argentina following victories in Miami, Newgiza, Brussels and Asuncion.
MEN There will be 48 pairs in the men’s draw, with the 16 seeded pairs entering the competition from the second round. Coello and Tapia will begin against a qualifying pair; for the ‘Chingalan’ duo, coming off their triumph in Asuncion, the opening match will be against Aris Patiniotis and Javi Martinez or Luis Hernandez and Enzo Jensen. Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger are placed in the bottom half of the draw, while Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas are in the top half. Also in the bottom half, there is significant interest surrounding young Argentine talent Santino Contreras, born in 2010, who enters the draw thanks to a wild card alongside Naim Diaz. These are the possible quarter-final match-ups: Coello/Tapia (1)-Garrido/Bergamini (8), Gonzalez/Di Nenno (7)-Stupaczuk/Yanguas (3), Lebron/Augsburger (4)-Guerrero/Navarro (5), Nieto/Sanz (6)-Chingotto/Galan (2).
