Fernandez dominates in Tunisia alongside Dominguez

TUNISIA – Antonio ‘Pincho’ Fernandez has secured another victory. After four wins in 2026, achieved across three different continents, the Spaniard has also claimed the title at FIP Bronze Tunisia I. At this CUPRA FIP Tour event, he played alongside Facundo Dominguez. Together, they first defeated Gustavo Nunes and Tonet Sans 6-1 6-2 in the semi-finals, before overcoming Guillem Figuerola-Roberto Belmont 6-1 6-1 in the title decider. Fernandez had already triumphed in Europe (FIP Silver Dublin and FIP Bronze Mallorca), Asia (FIP Silver Kuala Lumpur) and the Americas (FIP Silver Mcallen) this year.

In the women’s draw, top seeds Barbara Las Heras-Daria Kucheriavaia claimed the title. After defeating the pairing of Tunisia’s Dora Chamli and Argentina’s Maria Laura Ferreyra in the semi-finals, the pair prevailed over Ferdaous Bahri-Melania Merino (4-6 6-3 6-4) in the title decider. In 2026, Las Heras and Kucheriavaia had already triumphed together at the FIP Bronze events in Baku and Abu Dhabi.
