Norway, Abbate-Montiel and Garcia-Lopez are the number 1 seeds

Will Nati Lopez Diaz become the first woman to reach 10 titles won on the CUPRA FIP Tour? The long-distance challenge between her and Patri Martinez this weekend will be played out between Benidorm and the Norwegian city of Drammen, where the FIP Bronze Norway is being held. Nati, coming from two semi-finals and a quarter-final in her last three tournaments, is seeded number one in the women’s draw of 13 pairs alongside Lucia Garcia, with Italians Giulia Sussarello and Emily Stellato the main rivals for the Spanish pair.

The leaders of the men’s draw are also Italian: Flavio Abbate and Alvaro Montiel are at the top, with their compatriots Simone Iacovino and Lorenzo Di Giovanni – fresh from the second round of the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel – following in the entry list. The Drammen Padel tournament begins on Friday, with 40 points in the FIP ranking up for grabs for the winning pair.
