Potosí, padel doesn’t take a break. Alonso-Alfonso and Guinart-Iglesias lead the draws in Mexico

Padel doesn’t take a break. After the two tournaments held in February in Paredes (Portugal) and Dubai, this week in Potosí (Mexico) the third FIP Gold of the season will be played, followed by another in Gran Canaria next week, with 150 points in the FIP ranking up for grabs for the winners. There are many names from the top 100 in the men’s and women’s draws. The number 1 seeds among the men will be Edu Alonso (15) and Gonza Alfonso (32), followed by Inigo Jofre and Lucas Campagnolo, with Agustin Torre and Alex Ruiz completing the podium and Javier Barahona paired with Alvaro Cepero to form the number 4 seeds.

There are 16 pairs in the women’s draw: Marina Guinart and Victoria Iglesias, semi-finalists in the Rome Major and coming from the quarter-finals in the P1 in Tarragona, lead the entry list, followed by Lucia Sainz and Marina Lobo. Marta Barrera and Marta Caparros are the number 3 seeds. After the end of the qualifiers, the tournament will begin on Thursday with the first round, followed by the second round and quarter-finals on Friday, and the semi-finals and finals on Saturday.
