FIP Promises Tour returns to Asia: NextGen in action between Doha and Mumbai

After stops in Germany and Spain earlier this month, the FIP Promises Tour 2026 heads to Asia with two events scheduled for the weekend. The first takes place in Doha, Qatar, featuring three men’s draws (U14, U16 and U18) and two women’s draws (U16 and U18).

At the prestigious Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex, the spotlight will be on local player Abdulrahman Khalid Alyafei, who teams up with Iran’s Ali Taghizadeh Najafi to lead the men’s Under-18 entry list. In the women’s Under-18 category, the Egyptian pair Fatima Awad and Farida Mohamed Othman stand out, while fellow Egyptians Jaya Omar Youssef and Lily Wael top the Under-16 draw. In the men’s Under-16 event, Zain Elbialy (Egypt) and Sayed Hashem Almazeedi (Kuwait) are among the players to watch.

The NextGen will also take center stage at the VPadel Area in Mumbai, where the men’s Under-14 FIP Promises will be played alongside the FIP Bronze tournament, with Zidan Zaman and Vihaan Vivek in the spotlight.
