From Italy to Brazil: NextGen in action across Europe and America

One event in Europe and one in America. The FIP Promises Tour features two new tournaments this week, scheduled in Frascati (Italy) and Joinville (Brazil), where a FIP Silver and a FIP Bronze will also take place.

More than 100 players will compete until Sunday in the Italian city at Club Mercede. Among the most anticipated are the number one seeds in the Under 18 boys’ draw, Alessandro Pirrotta and Alessandro Zaccagnino, winner of three FIP Promises Tour titles last year in Nola and Torino. In the same girls’ category, attention is on Emma Biaginti and Ayme Acosta. There will be four girls’ draws — Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 — with the same categories also contested in the boys’ draws.

The NextGen will also compete in Joinville, where the finals of the six draws — three boys’ and three girls’ — are scheduled for Sunday. Attention is on Brazil’s Carolina Pruner and Chile’s Aurora Candi, who lead the seeding in the Under 18 girls’ draw.
