Over the weekend, the NextGen of padel competed in the men’s FIP Promises event in Trani, Italy. In the Under 18 category, Maxim Spisiak and Antonio Veneziani were crowned champions following their victory in the final against Sergio Antonucci and Nicolo Lomoro (6-2 6-1). The Under 16 draw was dominated by the Italian talents Christian Tempesta and Alessandro Patti, who defeated compatriots Riccardo Candelieri and Gianmarco Temperini in the final (7-5 6-3). The latter later made amends by winning the Under 14 title alongside Francesco Filetti. In the Under 12 category, the trophy was lifted by Alessandro Cullari and Michele Lavecchia.
In Italy this weekend, alongside the event dedicated to the sport’s young prospects, a stage of the CUPRA FIP Tour was also held: the FIP Bronze Montesilvano, where Emilio Sanchez Chamero and Alberto Garcia won the men’s draw, while Caterina Baldi and Clarissa Aima claimed the women’s title.
