Wme Sports Paris, record numbers: 171 pairs from 13 nations ahead of the new era of the circuit

Record numbers are expected at the FIP Promises tournament taking place this weekend in Lesigny, a town located 20 kilometers from Paris. 171 pairs have registered across the eight scheduled draws, four in the women’s categories and four in the men’s, ranging from Under 18 to Under 12.

This highlights the remarkable growth of the global padel movement’s youth base, with 13 nations represented at the FIP Promises Wme Sports Paris: in addition to the host nation France, there will be players from Great Britain, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Madagascar, Argentina, Poland, and Tunisia.

The Lesigny event ranks as the second-largest tournament by number of participants in the history of the circuit dedicated to the NextGen and organized by the International Padel Federation (FIP), and the first held outside Spain. Only the Malaga tournament (222 pairs) is ahead, while Lesigny ties Alicante (171 pairs) in this ranking.

The FIP Promises circuit has shown extraordinary growth: by the end of october (with two months still remaining in the season), it has almost doubled the number of tournaments held in 2024 (41 events), compared to 18 in 2023 and 12 in 2022. In 2025, the year preceding the launch of the circuit’s new structure, the total has already reached 79 tournaments.
