March 26, 2026
Four days after their victory at the FIP Silver in Parma, and after the journey to Florida, another strong result has arrived. Nacho Vilariño and Mario Del Castillo produced the standout performance of the day at the Miami Premier Padel P1, defeating the number eight seeds Javi Garrido and Lucas Bergamini in straight sets (6-4 6-1) to secure a place in the round of 16 against Javi Barahona and Javi Garcia. The run also continues for NextGen player Manuel Castaño alongside Iñigo Jofre, who prevailed 3-6 6-7 6-2 over Javi Leal and Pablo Cardona (9), with Cardona returning to competition after almost six months. Castaño and Jofre will now face Fran Guerrero and Paquito Navarro (6-3 7-6 against Arce/Lijó).
As expected, the top pairs made a strong start, watched closely by special guest Carlos Alcaraz. Ale Galan and Fede Chingotto secured a 6-3 6-1 win over Pincho Fernandez and José Luis Gonzalez and will meet Tino Libaak and Alex Chozas in the round of 16. Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia conceded one more game (6-1 6-4) against Torre/Cabeza, while Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger also progressed in straight sets, defeating Gutierrez/Oria 6-3 7-6. The number four seeds will now face David Gala and Pablo Garcia, who advanced with a straight-sets win over Edu Alonso and Juan Tello (10). The tournament ends, however, for another young pair, Pol Hernandez and Guille Collado, who were defeated 6-1 7-5 by Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas.
WOMEN’S DRAW On Thursday, the women’s seeds will begin their campaigns at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
