South African pair Anverali-Tayob dominate in Zambia: two titles in one weekend

The FIP Promises Tour returned to Zambia with the FIP Promises Lusaka II. The South African pair of Amaanah Anverali-Leeyah Tayob took centre stage at this event of the circuit dedicated to young padel talents, dominating the two girls’ draws contested: Under 12 and Under 14. In the first category, the two players defeated Hamnah Patel and Ayliya Ridwan Seedat convincingly in the final (6-1 6-0), while in the second, the winners prevailed over Amira Safieddine-Diane Shour in the title match with a double 6-3.

 

In the boys’ Under 18, Zeke Roulstone-Ahmed Kola triumphed with a 7-6 6-1 victory over Muhammad Patel-Muhammad Dasoo. Also noteworthy were the victories of the pairs Zeke Roulstone-Ahmed Kola and Ayaaz Omar-Fayzaan Anverali in the Under 14 and Under 16 categories.
