What is FIP Academy?
FIP Academy is the official training platform of the International Padel Federation (FIP), accessible to anyone interested in acquiring technical and regulatory knowledge of padel, whether for professional or recreational purposes.
It is an inclusive, accessible, and globally structured system that offers training programs at all levels: from those who wish to become certified as coaches to those aiming to qualify as referees in various categories.
Operating under the exclusive authority of FIP, the sole governing body of padel worldwide, FIP Academy grants official certifications that enable individuals to work as coaches or referees anywhere in the world. At the same time, it welcomes those who, without the intention of pursuing a professional career, simply want to be part of the global padel community and share their experiences and achievements with other enthusiasts.
All content has been developed by internationally renowned coaches and top referees from the official FIP circuits, ensuring rigorous, up-to-date training aligned with the highest standards of modern padel.
Ultimately, FIP Academy does not only train professionals: it builds a global community and serves as a strategic tool to foster knowledge, excellence, and the continuous growth of padel in all its forms.

Coaching Program
The FIP Coach Training Program aims to standardize and professionalize padel instruction at the international level.
Through structured content and updated methodologies, it offers progressive training that allows learners to acquire the technical, tactical, and pedagogical skills required at each certification level.
The program includes five courses with distinct features and certifications, qualifying individuals from assistant coaches to professional coaches on the Premier Padel circuit or national team selectors in international competitions.
This journey begins with Level 0, which is entirely online and qualifies individuals to teach beginners at the most basic level. It is especially designed for regions where padel is just beginning to grow.
Level 1 is a blended (semi-presential) course, with a substantial online component. Additionally, it features longer duration, a more comprehensive syllabus, and a higher level of academic demand.
As part of this structure, participants are required to attend several interactive webinars with the FIP Academy faculty, which are an essential component of the training. Furthermore, candidates must pass a practical in-person assessment, organized in collaboration with the national member federations, and scheduled on specific dates and venues designated by FIP Academy.
Meanwhile, the remaining levels of the program are currently under development and will be rolled out progressively until the entire educational pathway is complete. All higher-level courses will be strictly in-person and delivered in close cooperation with the national member federations.

Officiating Program
The FIP Officiating Program is designed to train and certify professional competition officials responsible for ensuring the proper conduct of FIP tournaments.
Its progressive structure covers international technical regulations, on-court officiating management, and technical procedures, aiming to unify criteria and raise global refereeing standards in padel.
This program has already delivered seven editions of the Level 1 course, and the goal is to expand the offering with new training levels.

FIP Lab
FIP Lab is the most ambitious part of FIP Academy: a multimedia and content analysis center designed to provide coaches, players, referees, and fans with exclusive access to high-value information about padel.
Through podcasts, scientific articles, infographics, advanced statistics, and game analysis, it offers a deep and up-to-date perspective on the sport, combining technical knowledge with the latest trends.
FIP Lab consists of two sections:
- Social Content (free): Allows the sharing of supervised content, such as a parent posting their child’s progress.
- Pro Content (paid): includes exclusive material linked to the certifications, such as advanced training for referees, sport psychology masterclasses, tactical clips, and review activities for students who need to retake modules.
All FIP Academy students must consume a minimum amount of Pro Content within a credit-based system, ensuring that their certification remains active and up to date, just like in professions such as medicine or law.
In this sense, FIP Lab is key to ensuring the highest standards of quality and making sure that training evolves at the pace of padel itself.

This is the FIP Academy project, which we will continue to develop and update on this site for the benefit and enjoyment of padel fans around the world.
