Dao Lafoes, Second win in a row for Noa Canovas and Jimena Velasco

Noa Canovas and Jimena Velasco keep winning. The Spanish pair won the FIP Silver Dao Lafoes (in Portugal), repeating their victory from last week at the FIP Silver Andalucia. The world number 33 pair won the final against Lujan Rodriguez-Godallier with a score of 6-1, 6-4.

“Winning this tournament in Portugal was amazing. I’m very happy with the effort over these two weeks. We managed to play at a high level and win the title,” said Noa Canovas after the prize ceremony.

In the men’s draw, the pair Vilariño-Oria took the title, making up for the final they had to retire from against Barahona and Garcia at the FIP Silver Andalucia. Now ranked 58 and 70 in the world, they beat the young Spanish team of Coquito Zamora (who also played the final at the FIP Silver Mediolanum Padel Cup in Rome) and Aimar Goñi with a score of 7-6, 3-6, 6-4.
