Manila. Cassetta, the record man, and Patri Martinez make history in the CUPRA FIP Tour

Marco Cassetta and Patri Martinez made history in the CUPRA FIP Tour. They won the men’s and women’s draws at the FIP Silver Manila (in the Philippines), becoming the most winning players ever in the international circuit.

The Italian, playing with Josè Luis Gonzalez, repeated his win from last week at the FIP Silver China, reaching 12 tournament wins in the CUPRA FIP Tour (five of them in 2025), surpassing his fellow Italian Flavio Abbate (who had 11, tied with Gonzalez). The final win was against the Spanish pair Nogueras-Bernils with two sets of 7-6.

“We are very happy to win another important tournament. Thank you very much, Jose, for this incredible week together, on and off the court. Let’s keep going like this in the next tournaments,” said Cassetta after the win.

Patri Martinez also made a record. Playing with Leti Manquillo (winner of the FIP Bronze Antalya and seven other tournaments), she won against Gibson-Baldi with a score of 6-2, 6-3. Born in 1997, she won her ninth trophy in the international circuit and reached Nati Lopez Diaz at the top of the list of the most winning women in the CUPRA FIP Tour history.
